Getting Connected

The Women’s Ministry at Horizons Church consists of a network of small groups designed to meet the spectrum of needs that women face today. These “LifeGroups” provide Christ-centered spiritual answers to the questions of our lives. You’ll find friendship, encouragement, spiritual growth and more within one of our many women’s LifeGroups. Most of these groups meet in homes throughout the area which provide a safe and friendly atmosphere. Some groups have chosen to meet at a local restaurant or business while others meet at Horizons Church.

Women’s LifeGroup usually consists of 5 to 12+ women who come together for fellowship, prayer and to study God’s Word together. While some groups may be a blend of women from a variety of life stages, other groups are formed around affinity such as MOPS (for moms with small children), Singles, CareForce (for those who love to serve others), etc. Some groups may opt for a topical study relating specifically to women’s needs. Other groups might choose to study a specific book of the Bible.  

In addition to weekly meetings we encourage everyone at Horizons to find a place to serve. Many women chose to do that as a team with other women from their LifeGroup while others find it easier to volunteer as an individual. Opportunities are available within the church, the community and even as missionaries overseas. No matter which works best for you, we hope you find a place to put your unique talents and interests to use serving others.
