Don grew up in West Virginia, was led to Christ in Alaska, and educated in Missouri, where he met his lovely wife Denise. Denise is a pastor's daughter and pastor's wife...so pray for her! She works for the Justice department and helps with the youth ministry, and is reported to be his "better half."

Don undertook further education for ministry in Texas and Illinois, but most of the ministry he has done has been in West Virginia. Don and his wife Denise have served in several churches in the area in recent years.

In addition to his leadership of the Student Ministry, Don leads para-church ministries that he’s founded in recent years. These include Haysus Cafe, an early mornig School Bible Club, the Burrito Brothers Flying Youth Camp, a summer camp program for teens that draws 150 teens annually, Burrito Brothers Flying Elementary Camp which normally draws 100 younger kids, and he also directed Midnight Oil, a college and career ministry which ran several years. Through these ministries and those at Horizons Don plans to see the Students move on with a mission.  He looks forward to deep growth and real bonding as a community within our youth.
